Haiku Friday: Serenity at Dawn

Morning Serenity
Morning Serenity, April 26, 2013

Birdsong creeps upon
me, as starry moon sky sinks
low beneath the dawn.

I am always inspired and most peaceful just before dawn, when it seems that bird song is moving in slowly, following the departure of the night.  In reality the birds are awakening, but if you use your imagination, you can almost feel the approach of the multitudes of birds, as the sun rises and their springtime morning song reaches a wonderful crescendo. Those who ‘sleep in’ are missing out on the most wondrous part of each day!
