Balance of Nature

Focus and finesse,

On guard, yet calmly resting,

perched precarious at blue water’s edge,

yet peaceful, watching, waiting

on lagoon-side ledge,

for signs of prey.

Today, fulfilling nature’s way,

the fiery sun and golden breach of day

call to her to stay, to play,

to thrive and long survive,

in balance and

alive.
