A singable tune, with words profound
Inspired by the Hebrew slaves
A fitting tribute locked in time
A treasure for the ages, saved.

It’s become the anthem for the masses;
Downtrodden, yearning to breathe free.
He chose Nabucco to set forth
Va Pensiero, for populi.

This week we’ll sing a tribute
Of well known opera, vocal gold.
Chorus, orchestral pros and maestro;
Talents together, genius will again unfold.
