A Glimpse of Glory

image

The irony is evident:
This vision of perfection
passes before our eyes,
unnoticed.

We think our lives to be the goal.
Without our knowing,
We suppress our raison d’être:
To become.

Suddenly we pause, we listen, we see!
In ecstacy, we stand transfixed,
Yearning for the soul’s perfection,
Having glimpsed our Truth.

  1. The Irony and the Ecstasy! Love the play of vision and glimpse; perfection and truth.

  2. You’re right – we claim to look for perfection, but we seem to see only flaws.

P.S. I love sunlight-through-clouds pictures and look to take them whenever I can. They always feel like some kind of revelation!

  3. Very nice. It’s too true that perfection is often right in front of us without our realizing it.
