I found this egg shell, while walking in my yard, and hoped that it signified a new birth, rather than a strike by a predatory bird. Based on the proliferation of bird-song these days, I am hopeful that a baby robin is chirping up there among the tree nranches, pleading blindly to Mama Bird for a tasty morsel.
