Thanks! It truly was a labor of love and my family thought I was crazy trying to salvage the obviously “imperfect” chair.

There is nothing like a charm that was made without any nails or screws – just woodwork. So when I repaired it, it wasn’t a work of art but the twine that ended up supporting the slats and making it a safe chair to sit in again, was consistent with the ‘no hardware’ approach. Thanks for commenting.
