Rainbows of Our Lives

Trifextra weekend Challenge:
We want you to follow suit and give us a thirty-three word piece that has a color in it. Use the color to describe anything you like, or use anything you like to describe your color, but keep it creative and keep it short. – See more at: http://www.trifectawritingchallenge.com/#sthash.NfbeszcR.dpuf

I am here
Amidst diversity
Each of us an intense but distinct
Shard of the spectrum
That paints our lives.
When smeared
on the artist’s palette,
become a radiant rainbow;
Magical,
Inspirational,
Blessed!

Thank you, fellow Trifectans: Β This piece won THIRD PLACE!

  2. I love this SO MUCH!!! Your writing is is awesome but that you got to go to BlogHer? PRICELESS!!! I would so loved to have been there… I’m sure you had an amazing time and hope you got a chance to meet my friend Melissa (alienbody), she’s a very cool chick. πŸ˜‰ {{{HUGS!!!}}}

    • Dana, it was incredible to be with so many talented women. Our keynote speakers were fantastic (Guy Kawasaki, Sheryl Sandberg – Facebook COO,) and sessions were structured so as to provide a broad cross section of topics and tracks, from technical to creative, photography, networking, branding, etc.The food and logistics were fantastic, and I found myself planning three sessions for every bock of time. They encourage you to session-hop, and I did just that. I don’t recall if I met Melissa ( I have a stack of cards that I am adding to my file) but I’m sure she will tell you that if you get a chance to attend…YOU SHOULD!. My head is filled with ideas and newfound skills and my suitcase became a giant swag bag! Great exhibits, freebies, contests, activities…wow. I should stop gushing and unpack. Thanks for your comment! PS..in search of a cool bog name…like “alienbody” or “martinis and Minivans”.

      • LOL! “martinis and minivans” sounds like fun, but only in blogging, of course! *giggle* I would loveLOVElove to hone my skills and meet lots of creative writers at BlogHer14 (swag never hurts!). Don’t stress over your blog name, just find what fits you – much like shoes, it has to be comfortable, YKWIM? I’m trying to reinvent myself and so far all I can do is “Blarrgh!!!” :-p

      • Profound advice. This time last year, after my daughter returned from BlogHer’12, she spent a month trying out new names, finally opting for ‘”I’mStillLearning”. BTW, the martinis are what you may need after driving the Minivan…or so I’m told. LOL. Thanks, Dana…maybe I’ll see you at BlogHer14!

    • Thanks, Tara. Yes it was great. I realize how much more I can do to sharpen my writing and my blog skills. It, truly, was a learning experience. My daughter is a blogger and went last year when it was in NY. This year she convinced me to go to Chicago with her. I am so glad that I said yes.
